Those under the influence of the Haze are simply called the Hazed, or Hazed people. They're usually NPC, meaning you can't play them as a main character but you can get one through buying one. They usually have less complex or demanding powers than main characters, and usually only one while main characters can have more than that, so long as they can keep up with control and energy demands. A Hazed person under the influence of mind control will either never develop their power or their power will be weakened severely because the toxins in the brain that control their mind also act as inhibitors on their power. These people are virtually walking zombies with no real mind of their own.
The ones who've broken free from the Haze's control are called Awakened, and are the main good characters. The Protagonists. They can have more than one power so long as they can keep up with energy demands and keep them in control. They're free to do what the want in their life yet they can't leave Priam and have to fight to keep the control that they have over their minds.
The Awakened who've sided with the Haze are called Sleep Walkers. They have control of their minds but when the Haze tells them to do something, they do it. They don't need to be ones who have joined willingly. They could have been forced to by the Haze or other Sleep Walkers. They usually have two or three powers, but some can have more depending on what powers they have.
HC are Hazed Crystals. They are the currency of the RP. You get ten upon registering, and ten for every character you make. Note: You can only have as many characters as you can handle. Do NOT make a ton of characters and never use them, or they will either be deleted or sent to the adoption board!!!
While electricity from outside of Priam will not work (batteries from outside will not work, phones and tablets and iPods won't work either), Priam's town does have its own little grid which generates electricity, but the Boarding School itself does not have any. There are no cars in Priam either. The only thing remotely like that is the bus that takes the teens from the outside TO Priam, they cannot get on the bus again after they've been dropped off as an escape route! Instead they have horses and horse drawn carriages. Yep, carriages. Even if they have electricity, they usually only use the bare minimum for it. Lanterns with electric "flame" light bulbs. Ovens that run on electricity, and the occasional telephone, which is also a bit old school. They're the drag the little circled numbers across a dial again and again to dial a persons number, with the pepper shaker like phone instead of a tiny cellular phone with a keypad built into it. No there is no air conditioning, but the blankets and clothes made to handle cold and hot weather are very efficient.
